Spud Harvest 09

Harvest was successful!!! We finished just in time for the ground to freeze. Some other farmers weren't that lucky and lost some potatoes due to frost. It went pretty well this year. Jake kept very busy. We were able to ride with him some which Emma thinks is so fun. She cries sometimes when he leaves cause she wants to ride with him. It is cute. She sure is a farm girl and fits in well.


The digger is filling the trucks with tatoes then they haul them back to the cellars.

Emma likes to get down and dirty. Helping the men fix things is fun I guess. She likes to pass tools out and put them away which is good.

The good old farm dog. What a trooper for riding in the back of Jake's truck all the time.

There they are. Driving the truck. Don't worry they weren't going that fast.

The digger switching fields. All the trucks followed him in a row. Was cool to watch cause the field is right outside our window so we got to watch them work a little from home.

Down at the cellars putting the tatoes in to store for winter.
