Week in Utah!

After the wierd weekend, I decided to go get away and take Ellen and Sara back down to Utah and spend some time with them. We drove down and went to Ellen's house. We had pizza and relaxed and Sara headed home to her house. I stayed with Ellen and Joe and Halle for a few days, then met Sara half way to spend some time with her too.
Emma had a great time at Sara's even though she was at school during the day. We just relaxed and she played with all the toys she had. It was nice to get away and enjoy time with my sister!

"Sarda" and Emma. We had fun playing and shopping a little and seeing her new home, which is very cute by the way.

Emma thought that Halle's big girl bed was cool and liked to climb into it. She is pretending she is sleeping here, lol. How silly. I was fun to see the girls play!

Emma looking mischevious! The girls liked hiding in Halle's closet and sliding the doors shut behind them.

Labor Day Weekend

I was way excited for Sara and Ellen and Halle to come visit us over the Labor day weekend!!!! It is so fun to be with family and especially my sisters!! What fun we have together :)
Halle and Emma had a fun time playing outside and on the slide!!

The girls playing and having fun!

Relaxing after running around!!

One of them put a blanket on the floor and they both climbed on and started drinking their cups. Pretty cute little girls we have!!!
Thanks for coming to visit Sara and Ellen even though we had quite the drama. I am glad my crawl space is covered with a steel door and no mice can get in any more. Although I just killed one outside the other evening. Can out of a little run I was gonna through away and I got it with a shovel and ran it over with the car, felt kinda good to know I stopped one from getting closer to my house!

Fun in September

My little angel!! Man is she getting big but at the same time, old. It is crazy. I am shocked that she knows so much and can communicate so well. I talked to mom today and Emma took the phone and said "Hi Grandma, how are ya? are ya good" then later we called Sara and she said " Hi Sarda, how are ya? I miss you" We usually have to tell Emma what to say next when having a conversation with someone but she can do it all on her own now and isn't shy at all. So grown up already.
Well, I canned my first thing today. There are lot of cool young couples in our ward and I got talking to one and asked her about canning. She had lots of green beans in her garden and invited me over to can some. It was way fun. I am excited to eat them this winter!

Yummy Yummy!! Green beans freshly picked and canned!
I also got some apples from some other friends in the ward and made applesauce tonight for dinner and am gonna bake some apple slices tomorrow. Excited to bake and use what we have around us.

Emma is very silly. One night we were painting our toe nails and Emma grabbed some Q-tips. She stuck them in her ears and looked so silly. I ran to get my camera and snap a shot so we can show her when she is older, lol.

Looking cool in her shades. She loves loves wearing dresses. One day we went through three cause of dirt and water. LOL She sure know how to play and have fun.

Emma girl!

My little reader. She loves book and tries to read them. She even starts jibbering when she looks at a magazine or newspaper, thinking she is making sense of it all, lol.
Emma thinks that all the baby toys are still for her. I opened her closet to find something and she wanted me to get out the bouncer seat. She puts her babies on it and thinks that it is still awesome.

Trying on her new outfit from Grandma Lambert!

Loves to slide and play on her swingset.

Not that good of a picture, but she is still cute and enjoying the outdoors.

The Party for EMMA!!

We had a birthday Party for Emma on Saturday. It turned out pretty good. Just Jake's family came, but that was perfect.
Emma and Daddy getting ready to blow out the candles.

Emma made her own cake this year, lol. She went to crack and egg in it and the shell fell in, I only picked a piece out so I think it turned out okay, LOL. She also got to frost it and decorate with a few m&m's. She thought that is was awesome and enjoyed eating it too. What a helper, she loved to cook!

Mom got her a birthday crown, but she didn't like it as much as I thought. It was hard to get it to stay in especailly with braids. She kept it on for a while and we were able to get some good picutres, Now she can dress up with it when friends come over to play and pretend.

Lexi loved helping Emma open her gifts. As soon as Emma opened a toy, she was done unwrapping and just wanted to play. It was cute!

She got a shape sorter from mom and she likes it a lot.

Just playing with all her stuff after it was over. She was content all night and the first thing she did in the morning was run out to get them all again.

Happy Birthday EMMMA!!

There she is, Miss Emma Clair ready to celebrate her 2nd birthday!!! She looks so cute in her new outfit and so very happy!
I tried mopping before the family came, and Emma just had to help. She actually did pretty well.

Being silly in the basket. She asked me to tak her for a ride. lol

Jake went riding that morning but returned with plenty of time for the party. He took Emma for a little ride and she loved it. How cute the two of them!!

Playing outside waiting for everyone to arrive for her party.

I tried to get a cute picture of her outfit, but she decided to melt instead. I guess that happens when you don't get what you want, lol.
