Fun with Family

Mom reading a story to Eliot. He just laid there and watched her read.

Emma and Grandma making ginger snaps together.

Our Day Out!

While Mom and Sara were visiting, we had one nice day. Eliot had a checkup, so we left early for town and shopped and took Emma to the park. She had fun running around and getting some energy out.
The first time Eliot has been outside and seen the sun. It has been a cold summer for Idaho so far. Hope that things change and we can have some sunshine and heat!!

The water park was open, and of course Emma wanted to play. She didn't have a swimsuit, so I let her play in her clothes. She had fun running through the water and Grandma kept an eye on her.

Cute picture of Grandma and Emma!

She also loved riding the horse and had a wonderful day doing some thing that she loves.

My handsome little man

Aunt Sara holding Eliot. She was a huge help when they came up because she always had the magical touch to somehow get him to sleep!!! And yes Sara you are beautiful!!!!
His eyes lids are still pretty red, but doctor said they are just thin and as they get thicker it will go away. He is still cute.

My little monkey!!

Emma loves Eliot and just lays by him and can't wait for him to play with her when he is a little older.

Going Home

Emma is a great big sister. She is very soft and loving. She wants to play with him already and enjoys betting his binkies for him even though he doesn't take them yet.
A little sad face. He hardly cries and when he does he is just hungry, so far so he is a easy baby.

Emma was excited to see her brother come home. She likes to hold him for a second and then she is done, lol.

So excited to see a real little baby in her old car seat instead of her baby dolls.

First time in his car seat, he looks so small in there.

Eliot Ronald

Little baby wide awake and just seeing the world.
He is handsome!! We tried getting him to eat all night after he was born, but he wasn't interested at all. He just wanted to sleep. He kept on throwing up amniotic fluid, so finally the nurse pumped his stomache and got a lot more out. She brought him back and said that she tried a sucky to see if he would even suck on it and he did, so she brought him right back and he finally ate after like 7 hours of not. He latches on great and we are doing well.

He has pretty long fingers like me and big big feet like his dad.

Baby Eliot

Our happy family!! A new baby brother to add the perfect touch. He sure is beautiful!
Emma holding baby! She likes him, but didn't quite know how to act at the hospital. She is kinda unsure about the situation.

Poor baby had to be vacumed out, so his head is all mis shaped and bruised. He is looking much better now though.

He is just perfect.

Emma with brother.

Kissing her sweet little baby!!

She is happy and thinks it is cool.

The Big Day

Wednesday May 26th I went in for a scheduled induction to have our baby girl. We checked in at 11 am and I had an IV in by 11:30. It was kinda scary waiting to be induced, because I didn't know what to expect. With Emma I didn't feel much pain at all and contractions were a breeze but not this time. I was trying to breathe through them thinking who in their right mind would do this more than once, lol. My doctor came in to break my water and they started me on potocin to get the contractions more regular. A while later I was holding the bed and trying to get through the pain. Jake was right by me telling me I was doing good. I got an epidural and felt much better. About 45 mins. later we had our baby!!! HE arrived at 3:23 pm only 41/2 hours after we arrived. Yes we had no idea it would be a boy, the doctor was pretty certain that it was a girl and the ultrasound pics sure looked like a girl part so he was a huge suprise to us.

Emma got to come up just after he was born and got to watch them bathe him and get him all cleaned up. She looks happy to be a big sister although she is not sure about a boy yet, lol. We were all ready for the pink girly stuff.

I was not quite sure what to think when he came out. The doctor said "Congratulations it's a boy" my mouth dropped and I was in shock. They set him on me and I just couldn't believe it, a boy!! AHHHH! I am just grateful for a healthy baby!
