Mountain Man Activities!!

We went to a fun Mountain Man event that was just a few minutes away out in the woods. It is a week long event and people bring thier teepees and set up shop for a while. You can go camping there and just enjoy Idaho History. Emma liked this bean bag game.

Everyones shops!

We got Emma a cute handmade bonnet from a shop there.

She saw some Indian baby dolls and thought they were cool.

All the Indian/Mountian man souveniers that they sell. Jake bought a knife and I got a braclet. Very fun to take Emma and show her everything. We had a good time!!!

Emma Girl

Well her expression isn't the greatest, but she is still cute!

I brought her stroller in and it entertained her for a long time. She asked me to open it and she climbed in and out of it and even had a snack sitting in her stroller.

Playing in her room is more fun when it is purple and decorated. I often find her sitting in there reading and getting toys out, so silly!!! She is a great little girl and I am sure grateful for her.

Emma's New Room!!!

We got ambitious and decided to paint Emma's room!! I have been dreaming about what I want it to look like but never thought I would actually do it, lol! Jenny helped me and it didn't take long at all we went to buy the paint, then got inspired and had to do a little bit before bed!!

It is a lilac, lavender color. The first coat is on and Emma decided she wanted to help a little too. She got a hold of the roller and on the way to the wall ended up getting her dresser. She thought she was cool for helping us, lol.

Also Emma's doing. Don't worry it all came clean and looks spotless.

Starting to look done, just have the top edges to do.

The finished product~~~ YAY

It looks so good. We took the board down with all the pictures, Emma found it on the ground and picked up a picture of mom and dad and said, "Grandma, Grandpa"!! She knows your pictures, mom and dad. She will be so excited to see you this summer hopefully! I thought is was funny and she really knows who you are so doing worry~~

We decided to spice it up with some bubbles on one wall. Emma loves it. She looks at the walls and says "pretty pretty" she also says "bubbles" and goes to the wall and rubs the bubbles. She loves it so far and I am very happy with the results!! Now we might tackle another project, LOL!

Our new friends the Daw's live on a farm down the road a ways. We have had a few bbq's there and they are really fun people. They have a four year old that Emma plays with. This time, they enjoyed the slides and playground at their house. Our plan is to have them over for a party when our grass starts to come up and grill! YAY Should be ready to plant tomorrow. Wish me luck I guess u have to rake it around to make sure it gets in and we have a BIG yard. Oh well, in the end it will be worth it!! Woohoo
Oh yeah, for all of you who I haven't told yet, the friends who I am talking about is Ashley and Randy. Ashley is the Morgan's cousin and came to visit Becky and DJ in Illinois way back when they lived in our ward. Also Marte and Lauren remember her a little from BYU and met her. She married an Idahoan and happens to be in my ward, so we have been hanging out. They are really fun and nice and we are grateful for some friends!!!

Our friends have some baby pigs, they are so cute. Emma is definatly a farm girl. She wanted to get in with them and catch them. Not afraid at all. It was cute cause they are all scared to death and she went to chase them and they all ran the other way. She didn't get too close, but would if she could!

We have been doing a ton of work in the yard and the other day we had to dig a ditch so the water could drain instead of washing our road out. Emma is a big help! She is such a hard worker and a trouper. Every morning we go out to the yard to work and she does just great while I work. Wears her out so nap time has been about 4 hours long! Poor thing. We turned the hose on to see if it would drain down the driveway and she wanted to play in it, so we put some work clothes on and let her get muddy, then Jake washed her off with the hose. She loves playing in the water and said "More, More" so Jake kept spraying her and she was soaked, but had a blast. Then we played in her pool and had a picnic lunch on the deck. Sure is fun to have a little side kick!!! She is GREAT!

She sure loves those bears. She got them all out and set them in the window by her. What a little cheese ball!!

Emma loves to put Daddy's boots on! She thinks it is cool even though she probably can't even lift them to walk.

Memorial Day Weekend Fun!!

Well, I decided to get Jake a grill for his early Father's Day gift so we could use it now!! It is nice. We had a little party on Memorial Day and tried it out. It was fun, we made Hamburgers and Hotdogs and even corn on the cob on the grill! Yummy. It was all so good. We picked a really good watermelon too.
I got this little fireplace for Christmas and we just got it put together. We had smores and enjoyed the fire. It was fun and in a few weeks we shall have grass in our yard!! YAY
Emma liked the fire. She didn't get too close and played in the yard with her cousin. She has fun and never liked coming back inside from playing!

This is what our yard looked like before we raked it and softened the dirt by tilling it. Not so pretty!

Sara we thought we picked up all the rocks!!! Boy were we wrong, lol! It seems like our yard was a rock pile, but it sure looks better now. The tiller picked up a lot more rocks so we were able to get the big ones out.

I finally got some help on my yard. A few of the Mexicans brought their tools over and tilled up the yard. It made the dirt so soft, then they racked the whole thing. It looks so good, that we don't even want to plant grass now if only it could stay that beautiful!! LOL Well they finished and picked up all the rock so now if is perfect. We went and started the sprinkler system and found out that tilling the yard was not such a good idea cause the sprinkler lines were not that deep and a few of them got cut. We had some geisers that we had to fix before the next step but we are moving along!! :)

I found another one of those signalong church song books for Emma. Mom got her one awhile ago and she loved it but broke so time for a new one. It has the same songs, with a microphone. She enjoys it!

Spring Fun!!

Well we finally had a nice day in Idaho! Monday was like 85 so Tisha called me up and wanted to bring the kids over to play. They sure had fun. I filled the pool with warm water so it was like taking a bath! They played in it for hours. We just sat and watched and got some sun. The girls rode bikes and we really enjoyed the sunshine. Too bad today is really windy :( We are tying to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Emma just loves it and cries and melts when I bring her in. Too much fun!!
